Authors are invited to submit their work reporting original research of a theoretical or applied nature using the online submission system, EDAS. The initial submission should capture the scope of the final paper and explicitly include the primary results and findings, emphasizing new advances, theories, and/or applications so that the program committee will be able to understand the originality and the value of the work.

CREATE AUTHOR ACCOUNT

Each lead author must visit the EDAS website and establish an account with a username and password. If you already have an account, you may proceed to the Submission Instructions section below.

  • Create your profile. Only the five fields with the red asterisk are required. 
    It is very important that your name and affiliation associated with your EDAS account are correct and match the name and affiliation that will be listed on your paper. These fields are first & last name, affiliation (company or organization), country, e-mail address, and status. When the fields are filled in, check the Privacy Policies box and click the Add Person button.    [note: if you select the USA as the country, you will get a message asking for your state]
  • You will receive an e-mail containing your password. Your email address and the given password must later be used to access the system during the following steps, so be careful to remember them.
  • You can then return to the EDAS log-in page and change your assigned password to one that is easier to remember. To do this, click on the My Profile tab, and then click on change your password. Be sure to record your username, password, and ID number for later reference.

INITIAL MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION

MANDATORY: Initial Manuscripts MUST be fully anonymized to comply with TALE Double-Anonymous review process. No identifying author information may be present in your submitted manuscript. 

For your convenience, the IEEE Style Guide and Conference Paper Templates in various formats are available here. Your paper must comply with the following specifications:

  • Paper Length: 
    • Full Paper (6-8 pages)*
    • Short Paper (4-5 pages)*
    • Work-in-Progress Paper or WIP (2-3 pages)*
      *Paper lengths include references. The maximum length for final papers is 8 pages without exceptions.
  • Paper Size: US Letter
  • Fonts: Embed ALL fonts in your PDF file. Avoid the use of Type 3 fonts.
  • File Format: Adobe PDF (.pdf)
  • Do NOT page number your paper
  • Do NOT apply security settings to your PDF file.

A submission implies a willingness to register and present the work if the paper is accepted for presentation at the conference. Manuscripts will be reviewed by the Technical Program Committee. Authors of accepted submissions must register for the conference, submit the Final Camera Ready Manuscript by October 14, 2025, and attend to present their papers. 

High-quality papers that are accepted and presented will be submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore digital library and indexed by Scopus.

The submission should summarize the scope of the research, include primary results and findings, and emphasize new advances, theories or applications, so that the originality and implication of the research are clear. Papers that do not follow this format will be rejected as will papers above the specified limit.

**TALE 2025 will implement a double-anonymous review process. Please ensure your manuscripts are fully anonymized before uploading. No author or affiliation information should be present in your uploaded document.

While no author or affiliation information should be present in your uploaded document in keeping with our double-anonymous review process, all contributing authors must be added to the EDAS submission portal. No changes to the author listing may be made after the Preliminary Paper submission deadline. Please ensure all authors are fully accounted for in EDAS prior to the deadline. There will be no exceptions.

SUBMISSION OF INITIAL PAPER

Please log in at http://www.edas.info and follow these steps:

  1. Click the link below to be taken to the TALE 2025 Submission Portal.
  2. Type in the title of your initial submission and select the topic area your paper falls under best. [This will help in choosing the reviewers. The PDF of your initial submission will be uploaded later]
  3. Click the Submit button.
  4. On the next page you will see a large green check mark and a statement that the paper was recorded.
  5. “Manuscript” is used to refer to the PDF form of your initial submission.
  6. The last row will say Initial Manuscript and has an icon of a yellow folder next to it. Click on this icon, and then you can upload the PDF of your manuscript on the next page. 
  7. You can also upload the paper by clicking the My Papers tab at the top of the screen, and then selecting the upload icon on the same row as the name of your paper. The upload icon (third column from the right) will open a dialog box that will enable you to select and upload the manuscript file via the web or via FTP.

IEEE COPYRIGHT NOTICE

If authors would like to post their papers electronically on any website, any FTP site, or any other electronic dissemination technique, they must include the IEEE Copyright notice on the initial screen displaying the IEEE-copyrighted material.

IEEE Copyright Form

Each accepted contribution to TALE 2025 must be accompanied by a signed Copyright Form. The copyright form should be filled out and signed by one author, preferably the primary author before the Final Camera Ready Manuscript Deadline. 

PREPRINT

Authors who have submitted or plan to submit their articles to IEEE may post their preprints in the following locations:

  • arXiv.org, TechRxiv.org, or any not-for-profit preprint server approved by the Publication Services and Products Board (PSPB)
  • Author’s employer’s website or institutional repository
  • Author’s personal website
  • IEEE does not consider this to be a form of prior publication. The following statement must be included on the initial screen:

“This work has been submitted to the IEEE for possible publication. Copyright may be transferred without notice, after which this version may no longer be accessible.”

Upon acceptance of the article by IEEE, the author must replace the posted preprint article with either (1) the full citation to the IEEE work with the DOI, or (2) the accepted version of the article with the DOI and an appropriate copyright notice (as described in the “accepted article” section below). No other changes may be made to the accepted article.

Please note that once the article has been published by IEEE, preprints on locations not specified above should be removed if possible.
