Visa Information

IEEE TALE 2025 will be held from December 4-7, 2025 at Macao Polytechnic University in Macao SAR, China. Participants requiring a visa to attend the conference are encouraged to begin the application process as early as possible.

Do I Need a Visa to Visit Macao?

Macao is a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China and maintains separate visa policies from mainland China. Many passport holders can enter Macao visa-free for a limited time. Others may be required to obtain a visa on arrival or apply for a visa in advance.

Invitation Letters

You must register for the conference and pay in full before requesting an invitation letter. Registration will open September 2, 2025. If you have received your invitation letter through your registration but require edits to your issued invitation letter, please contact the IEEE TALE 2025 Conference Manager via email. In your email, provide the following information:

  • Registration Confirmation Number
  • Complete name
  • Mailing address
  • Accepted paper number (if applicable)
  • Accepted paper title (if applicable)
  • Any other details that your country of residence requires for your visa application.

We suggest that you leave ample time to apply and obtain your VISA. The Conference cannot contact or intervene with any Embassy or Consulate office abroad on your behalf so please begin your visa application process as soon as you determine that you want to attend IEEE TALE 2025. 

Visa support letters will only be issued to:

  • Registered authors and presenters
  • Committee members
  • Other registered participants with a clear purpose of attendance

Visa processing times may vary depending on your country of residence.

If you plan to travel to mainland China before or after the conference, a separate visa for China may be required.

The conference organizers & staff cannot contact embassies or consulates on your behalf.
